UNASSUMING ITALIAN IS FAVOURITE FOR REAL HOTSEAT

No official confirmation will be forthcoming from club or coach until the season is out and the results of Real Madrid's presidential elections are in, but Florentino Pérez's prime candidate for the dugout is none other than Carlo Ancelotti. MARCA revealed as much some time ago.
There are various reasons why the Italian has the edge of Klopp and Villas-Boas. First and foremost is his track record of managing high-profile players with big egos. Then there is his cool, calm and collected, yet rigorous, nature - a far cry from Mourinho's penchant for controversy and media frenzy. Some calm after the storm is just what the doctor ordered.
The 'Los Blancos' hierarchy believes that two years at Juventus, eight at Milan, two at Chelsea and a further two at PSG make the Italian more than experienced enough to take up the reins at the Bernabéu.
