The Real Madrid of the future has three solid pillars to build upon and strangely enough, all three are club captains: Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo. Against Dortmund, all three of them, in whatever role there were given, proved just how good they are.
The embrace that Casillas gave Sergio Ramos at the final whistle was about more than the emotions on the night. Both players feel they are the victims of how their coach manages his dressing room. They were aware that a new era without Mou dawns with this defeat.
Ronaldo did not hide either. He did not want to blame his discreet performance on his fitness and made it very clear that he only cares about Real Madrid's and his own future, in that order. He is not in the least bit interested in anybody else’s future.
