PRAISES DIEGO LÓPEZ'S PERFORMANCES

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has discussed the friction between himself and coach José Mourinho, becoming the first to openly admit that the personal relationship between the two is less than perfect, while insisting that they get on just fine professionally.
"Mourinho is honest. Our professional relationship is very respectful and on the personal side it is obvious that our relationship isn't the same", the club captain stated, noting that teammate Xabi Alonso had said something to this effect several weeks ago. "Xabi Alonso said as much a while ago and I don't see the need to keep going on and on about it. Let me say, again, that the club is bigger than either of us", he stressed.
The goalkeeper says that he isn't frustrated at continuing to be left on the bench and had words of praise for his rival between the sticks, Diego López. "I'm not giving up for a moment. That's good for Diego López too. I keep pushing and it keeps him on his toes. He's put in some really good performances and helped get the team where it is":
Casillas, who was speaking after presenting his new gloves and boots at an Adidas promo event on Thursday morning, claimed that there is "belief" in the squad that it can come back against Borussia. "The older heads around the place remember big ties in which it looked like all was lost and Real still got through".
