COACH PUTS OFF MATCH POST-MORTEM

The post-match analysis was expected to take place at 16.00 hours on Thursday. The players, who had already talked things over in the dressing room and accepted they didn't do a good job in Dortmund, took to the pitch thinking the manager would go over what happened. However, Mourinho chose to put this off until a later date.
"We'll talk on Sunday," he said. The Portuguese manager is keen to buy time. He feels that coming so soon afterwards, and with the derby against Atlético just round the corner, his words might not have the desired effect.
Mourinho wants to go through the mistakes the players made in Dortmund in some depth, but he would rather they gave their side of the story first. That will give him time to watch the replay and pick over the various shortcomings.
The findings will have to be communicated in a calm and collected way once the league match against Atlético de Madrid, scheduled to kick off at 20:00 on Saturday, is out of the way. Until then, Mou only wants to discuss Madrid's next opponent. On Sunday, things will be different: all the focus will be on how to stage a comeback. Only then will the time be right to carry out the post-mortem.
