Pair left out of Real Madrid and Brazil squads

Marcelo and Kaká have been left out of José Mourinho's squad for the 'Copa del Rey' quarter-final return leg against Valencia, on the same day the pair found out they have not been called up by Brazil for the first match since Luiz Felipe Scolari returned to the hotseat.
This is Marcelo's second straight omission from the squad, having made his comeback in the cup first leg against Valencia, when he was substituted at half-time.
Kaká is available for selection again having served a one-match suspension in Sunday's league meeting between the two clubs, but Mourinho has no plans to make use of him, given an exit from 'Los Blancos' could be on the cards for the forward.
Madrid will be without regular centre-back partnership Sergio Ramos and Pepe, who are banned and injured respectively, with youngster Álvaro Morata the only new name in the squad.
