Because of his "knowledge of the Spanish league"

Ex-footballer Gaizka Mendieta has said that, if Portuguese manager, José Mourinho were one day to "leave the Real Madrid bench", the Spaniard and current Chelsea manager Rafa Benítez could be a good alternative due to his "experience" and "knowledge of the Spanish league".
In comments made to Eurosport, the former Valencia, Lazio, Barcelona and Middlesbrough player said: "Looking at it from the outside, the situation with Casillas and Mourinho looks like something non-football related. I don't like talking about referees because they make mistakes. Mourinho is intelligent and he knows what to say and how to say it to put the pressure on".
