TESTS WILL SHOW THE STATE OF DAMAGE TO HIS RIBS

Diego López will have tests on his ribs before Wednesday's big match in Dortmund, after receiving a knock in Saturday's league win at home to Betis.
The Galicia-born keeper has taken the precaution to not train with his team mates in the last two sessions. On Monday he was able to run and after some light work confirmed to Jose Mourinho and his medical staff that any pain he may have had was under control.
However, the coach will want to check he is able to respond to all the demands he could come across on the field of play and he will be put through his paces beforehand by the goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.
López was not able to kick long in the second half against Betis due to his discomfort and the injury is in a delicate area for a keeper who is duty bound to make heavy contact with both the ground and opposing forwards who will be looking to test any weakness.
The option that Iker Casillas could return to the team is still open. By coincidence it is exactly three months since he was injured away at Valencia. Iker is now fully fit and has worked hard to be ready for the call to again take his opportunity between the posts.
