REAL NEEDS HIM FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS TO PULL OFF A COMEBACK

Judgement Day has come for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid fans know full well that their ambitions of enjoying another magical night at the Bernabéu depend heavily on their Portuguese talisman. Despite suffering a minor muscular injury during last Wednesday's first leg, the Portuguese has focused everything on being fully fit for the return leg. Without a doubt, the best possible news for Madrid's fans is that Cristiano is back training normally alongside the rest of the squad.
Ronaldo could not hide his frustration after the heavy defeat in Dortmund, but he took on his saviour's role minutes after the game. "I'll talk on Tuesday". With that sentence he justified walking straight past journalists in the press area at the Signal Iduna Park.
Cristiano simply carries the team, just as he has done throughout the entire season, in every competition. In Champions League games, CR7 always appears to drag his team out of the quagmire. He scored the equaliser in the first leg, but it was not enough on the night.
He has been his team's saviour in every other tie too. Firstly in its last-16 clash with Manchester United, where his outstanding header at the Bernabéu levelled the game. At Old Trafford, he scored his side's second goal - after Modric had equalised - to seal qualification for the quarter-finals.
He was forced to put in an appearance in both quarter-final matches. He opened the scoring in the first leg and scored a brace in the return leg to avoid a Galatasaray comeback (3-2).
