DIEGO LÓPEZ, FIT TO PLAY

José Mourinho earlier confirmed the team he will field in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Borussia Dortmund, with Diego López in between the sticks and the hope that Ángel Di María will be able to play after recently becoming a father.
When Mourinho was asked at the press conference ahead of the match against Dortmund whether López - who had been recovering from a knock sustained in the game with Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday - would be fit to play, the Portuguese not only confirmed the Galician keeper's inclusion in the starting-eleven, but also the entire team.
"Diego López will play in goal along with Sergio Ramos, Varane, Pepe, Coentrao, Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Mesut (Özil), Higuaín, Cristiano and hopefully Di María", he said to reveal the chosen eleven to play in the crucial match.
Argentine winger Di María, who recently became a father, did not travel with the squad to Germany. "He is very happy today because his daughter was born earlier today, but it has been emotionally hard for him and his family. We hope he'll be in the right frame-of-mind to play", Mourinho concluded.
