In his weekly appearance on Spanish Radio football show 'El Larguero', Jorge Valdano praised the achievements made by the German teams in the Champions League: "German football and Bayern know where they want to go, they are copying the best in football." Many would prefer a German manager: "I like Klopp a lot; he's an optimistic person who makes his team smile. His teams seem very motivated to get out there and play". He flagged up Dortmund's top level Polish player: "Lewandowski is a very interesting striker, he also plays for a team that likes to play football". Madrid almost managed to make it a night to remember: "The comeback is Real Madrid's hallmark, both in the team and its supporters; it's an amazing thing".
